How we verify insurance plans

An incorrect "accepts your plan" label can cost someone an out-of-network bill, so we are strict about it.

Partner clinics

  1. The clinic tells us, in writing, which insurance plans it is in network for.
  2. We record the date each plan was confirmed. You can see it on the clinic's listing.
  3. We re-confirm plans with the clinic regularly, and remove any the clinic no longer accepts.

Directory listings

Listings from the national registry never show insurance plans. If you are interested in one of these practices, ask them directly, or let us check your plan for you.

Your own benefits

Even when a clinic is in network, what you pay depends on your plan: your deductible, copay, coinsurance and yearly visit limit. That is why we check your individual benefits with your insurer rather than relying on a clinic's plan list alone.

Something wrong?

If a listing is wrong, tell us through info@doctorsnetwork.org and we will correct it.
