What we collect
When you use our coverage check we collect what you enter: your insurer, plan type, the reason for your visit, your ZIP code, your name, phone number, email address and the best time to call. We ask you not to enter your insurance member ID.
Like most websites, our server also records basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type.
Why we collect it
- To send your request to a clinic near you that takes your plan, so they can call you about your coverage and a visit
- To connect you with a partner clinic that accepts your plan, if you want that
- To keep the site secure and working
Who we share it with
If you ask us to connect you with a clinic, we share your details with that partner clinic so they can contact you. We do not sell your information.
Health-related information
The reason for your visit and your insurance details can be sensitive. We keep them only as long as needed to help you, store them on secured systems, and limit who can see them.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, through info@doctorsnetwork.org.
